Parking: You are entitled to free parking during your visit to our lab. There is usually on-street 2-hour parking (strictly enforced) available around our building, which is often closest and easiest. There is also a parking space reserved for visitors to our lab.
Directions: We are located in Room 123 on the ground floor of the Department of Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences at Brown University. If you are using MapQuest, get directions to 190 Thayer St. Providence, Rhode Island. Here is one way of getting to the lab:
From the highway to the parking lot
1. From Route 95N or 95S, take Exit 22A (Memorial Blvd).
2. Follow the exit ramp onto Memorial Blvd.
3. At the third set of traffic lights, take a left onto Washington Street.
4. Cross over the bridge and continue straight.
5. Continue straight up the hill, as the street changes to Waterman Street.
6. You’ll pass Brown St. on the left and cross Thayer St.
7. At the next light (just after Subway) take a right onto Brook St.
8. The parking lot is immediately on your left.
9. Park in any of the spots designated for research subjects, which are located near the back of the lot, and be sure to display your permit.
From the parking lot to our lab
1. Walk back down the entranceway and out on to Brook Street.
2. Turn RIGHT and walk to the corner of Brook and Waterman Street.
3. Turn LEFT on Waterman Street.
4. Walk to the corner of Waterman and Thayer Street.
5. There is a building with a ramp right across from you. Come up the ramp and enter the building.
6. Take the second door to the LEFT down the hall.
7. Walk through the glass door at the end of the hall, and we will be located in room 123 to your LEFT, with a welcoome mat with two fish on it outside our door.
